EVENT VOLUNTEERING

The Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit 501(c)(3) publicly supported charitable organization formed by a group of concerned and public-spirited citizens.

Purpose
The purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds to support the establishment and maintenance of enhancements and amenities that are intended to provide for the comfort, condolence and ceremony associated with the interment and memorial of veterans and their families.

Objectives
  • The Foundation was originally established for the purpose of getting a national cemetery in North Central Texas as soon as possible. The Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery was dedicated May 12, 2000, so it can be said that the Foundation was successful in that regard.
  • PROPERLY OBSERVE MEMORIAL DAY AND OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS.

Memorial Day and Veterans Day will be observed in a way to not interfere with such observations at local private cemeteries.

  • SUSTAIN THE AVENUE OF FLAGS.
The Foundation has obtained sponsorship of over 300 flag poles for which flags may be flown for Special Events like Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
